Subject: World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) (1-4 May 2025)
The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MoIB) will host the inaugural World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), a global event dedicated to the media and entertainment industry, with a special emphasis on India's media landscape. The summit will take place in Mumbai from May 1-4, 2025.
2. India stands among the world’s largest creators and consumers of media and entertainment content. The country’s Media & Entertainment (M&E) sector is one of the fastest-growing industries in its economy, boasting the second-largest online market globally. Projections indicate that the sector’s value will rise from approximately USD 28 billion in 2021 to nearly USD 54 billion by 2026.
3. WAVES aims to be a leading platform for industry stakeholders to engage in discussions and collaborations on emerging trends, technological advancements, and opportunities across the print, digital, audiovisual, and entertainment domains. Media professionals and enthusiasts will find valuable insights and networking opportunities at WAVES. As such, the summit welcomes participation from media organizations, production houses, content creators, and industry associations.
